lose 50 pounds
Lose 50 Pounds FAQ:

I’m about 5′11, and weigh roughly 250. I have a big belly, but the rest of my body is pretty decent, just alot of body fat. I used to weigh about 180 but gained alot of weight over the past 2 years from lack of exercises. What would be the best way to lose it back, be specific. If you say diet please give me an idea of what kind of diet or exercises. I usually eat alot of breads, meats, and soda/sweet tea. Thanks a bunch in advance.

Hey, Faron B,
I think you know the answer to the question that you just asked but I’ll answer it anyway.
I assume your not looking for a quick fix and want to permanently lose the weight. IF that is the case then you need to dramatically cut down on your sugar and processed sugar intake. Start eating more fruits, vegetables and lean sources of protein. THE one thing that you can do that will dramatically effect your weight loss is start to journal. You MUST stick to the journal though. Most people start a food journal and then quit after a week or so. Your journal is your report card for how your weight loss goals are. If you eat something and don’t write it down who have you lied to? Yourself. So be honest with yourself. You’ll be able to look at your journal and see why you feel short of your goals OR you’ll be able to look at your journal and it should be a model of success and transformation. Only you can decide what type of journal it is.

I hope that helps.

If you want more specific exercise tips you’ll have to send me a separate email because that would be a really lengthy answer.

A healthy way of eating is essential to anyone, no matter of what weight, but for you, it will be a lifesaver. Of course you NEED to work out. Try sports that train the whole body, swimming or surfing are 2 of them.

You should, insteatd of going on a diet, try to exchange your usual eating mistakes with something healthier. If you are a chocoholic, get a whole bunch of fruits and try out which one does it for you. If you love burgers, try creating you own with healthy products and unprocessed foods. You love ketchup? It’s full of sugar, try fresh, spiced tomatopuree instead! Also mustard has much less cals. Try dark, whole-weat breads instead of white, wheat ones. If you love meat - get over it a bit. Meat should be a treat, not the norm, have it no more than 3 times a week and then, best would be lean meats, chicken is pretty good, beef too when it’s not drown in fat or gravy. Try to eat eats in stir fries, you dont need any fat to cook in a wok, it’s perfect. Don’t forget to have a seafoodday every now and then. Check your portionsize too - nothing on your plate should be larger than your fist. Avoid coke and other fizzy drinks, try water or if you **** that, apple spritzer. Find recipes to make healthy sauces to veggies, capsicum & cellerysticks suddenly become tasty if you have a homemade salsa to them. To get your healthy amount of fat, try unsalted nuts. Watch your sodium intake in general, salt stores water in your body and hinder your weight loss and toning process. Don’t eat at least one hour after the sports and try to not binge at night.

Good Luck :)
