I want to lose at least 50 pounds before summer starts. I want to know some things I should be eating&doing.
Can you help?

When you are losing weight, you should exercise and diet together.
If you exercise without dieting, you will get bigger appetite, which
will lead to increase of weight, or muscle grow
underneath the fat layer, and make you bulkier. If you diet without
exercising, you will become flabby and will have excess skin. For
diet, go wheat free. No pasta, pizza, bread and so on. And no food
after 7 p.m. People achieve marvellous results with it. Depending on
your initial weight, you can drop upwards from 20 pounds a month. If
you don’t eat wheat then you don’t eat all those sticky, fatty goey
cakes, you don’t eat junk food, and you don’t eat biscuits. But your
diet is still balanced. It costs nothing, and you do not have to
calculate points or to buy special meals or plans. For exercising,
start with walking, and then switch to running/jogging. Running is the
most efficient and calorie-burn exercise ever. If you are overweight a
lot, walk first or you may have health complications (heart attack,
disjointed bones and so on). Weight lifting is a good means to target
your problem areas for men and women. It’s not necessarily to become a
bodybuilder or even join a gym - a couple of dumbbells will help you
to target your problem areas (stomach, butt, legs, arms, chest).

Depending on how heavy you are, this may be a problem.
I would suggest heavy exercise three times a week and then running/walking everyday of the week for at least 30 minutes.

Cut out fast food, candy, etc. from your diet completely if you can.
Add vegetables and fruit to every meal.

Don’t try fad diets like the Special K diet. You will lose the weight in the time they allow but then gain it back afterwards.

If you register with a gym most gyms will pair you up with an advisor that can give you the tips you need and tell you what machines to use.

Drink a lot of water. Try drinking only water you will save a lot of calories. Eat a lot of fruits and veggies. Exercise every day. Try and gain muscle it will help you burn fat.

You could also try joining Weight Watchers.

You never want to lose weight too fast. If you lose fat fast, the likely hood of the weight to stay off is slim. You should really only lose 3ibs. a week, anything more and you will probably be burning off muscle. You never want to burn muscle because your muscle helps burn more calories through out the day.
Cardio (jogging, walking, swimming, aerobics, elliptical trainer) workouts along with stegnth training will help you get to where you want to be. When you stegnth train you are taring your muscles, so when you sleep your body is burning more calories repairing itself. when you do cardio you are burning more calories at that moment and stegnthing your heart (which is really important).
I don’t know you, I don’t know what you can do, but you should see a trained professional to help you pick a work out that best suits your body and goals, don’t start your own workout because that could result in injury, you could however do cardio that you like at least 30min. 3 times a week, but up to 6 days a week and you will see a change, trust me, you must be patient.
EAT BREAKFAST!!!!!! You always need to jump start your metabolism in the morning and always eat when you are hungry, NEVER STARVE YOURSELF. Your body will hold onto fat if you do that and drink lots of water throughout the day at leats 8- 8oz. glasses a day. Get the food pyrimid and ask your gardian to help you get a good meal plan. One good tip is to get a friend with you for motivation, it works!
