So currently I am 13 years old, 145-150 pounds and 4′10. It’s October 2008 and I was wondering whether I can 50 pounds by summer 2009?

This would be hard and involve changing your diet and exercising, so you should probably talk to your doctor, but its certainly not a goal that is unattainable, you just have to be willing to work hard for it.

it all depends on a good work out/exercise plan and ofcourse getting a healthy food plan going. dont exert yourself too much tho, you are still quite young.

yes, if you don’t starve yourself, drink plenty of water, and do plenty of walking and eliminate sugar from your diet, you should lose 2 pounds a week minimum.

if you do the following you will lose 50lbs for summer of 2009

-Eat small meals EVERY 3-4 hours

-Eat vegetables, fish, lean meats, whole grains

-Bike outside (this will totally burn so many calories but you’re having fun so you don’t even know you’re working out!)

-Resistance training (you can use anywhere between 3lbs-10lb weights, do arms one day, legs one day, abs one day–do 3 times a week resistance and cardio 3-4 times a week)

-Only drink water

-Be consistent!

-Drink green tea moderately

I did this exactly and lost 90lbs and became a personal trainer..contact me for more info if you want

this is exactly like my friend only she’s about 5 in taller and 10 lbs heavier. its sad cuz she askes this same question in y! answers and yet shes never willing to do it. its all in your attitude. you have to be completely disaplined. please talk to your parents and doctors about this. ask to get a nutritionist, so you can do this safetly

Are all these people crazy? Sorry, but I think at 13 years old you do not need to start any heavy diets, you can become healthier by eating better and getting moderate exercise, but do not start a diet just mainly for weight loss while your body is still growing your during younger years…
