How To Lose 50 Pounds
About two years ago, I set a goal for myself to lose 50 pounds. This past month I successfully achieved this goal! How did I do it? Well, I bought the book The Gabriel Method and put into motion the strategies and practices that I discovered in reading this truly phenomenal book. This method, developed by founder Jon Gabriel, is not a “diet” and/or strict exercise regimen that makes one feel like a prisoner of sorts to one’s own body. Rather, it is a holistic and natural method whereby the focus is on one’s own biochemistry and logic. To me, this seemed like a better alternative to lose 50 pounds than the traditional weight loss paths.
Having lost over 220 pounds through pursuit of his own method, Jon Gabriel is a live example of the positive effects of this weight loss strategy. The method is based upon a balance of two crucial weight loss hormones, leptin and insulin, and an additional concentration upon the totality of one’s existence. In other words, the goal just isn’t to lose 50 pounds but to also improve one’s own self esteem, to improve one’s outlook on life, and to do these things through permanent behavioral changes. That is why this method is so successful for one is altering a lifestyle gradually over time “teaching an old dog new tricks” if you will instead of nestling up to the latest diet fad or exercise mantra. The success rates charted out in the future are significantly higher than many other options one can pursue.
I also like the focus on the more mental aspects–proper sleep, a reduction of stress levels, and a focus on fresh, wholesome, and natural foods. This is a mindset that one can set for one’s self of returning your body back to a natural state of being and finally lose love handles too. Additionally, the power of the mind is enhanced if you visualize a result, you are much more likely to achieve it. I not only wanted to visualize my goal to lose 50 pounds, but I wanted to visualize overall changes to my being. And, now I have achieved this! I am proud of my efforts but also know that I need to focus on a different goal now weight loss maintenance and a continued development to positive mental and psychological changes to myself. If you want to lose 50 pounds too, this method is for you!
